Relay Race Details
It’s become a tradition that at Lake Day we have a relay race that tests the swimmer, runner, and kayaker! This year, the relay race will start at 2:15 p.m.
There will be teams of 4 people. A runner, a kayaker, a swimmer and a swimmer/runner.
The course:
Leg 1: Start at the bridge. Run from the bridge, across the dam, to sandy beach and tag the kayaker.
Leg 2: Kayak from sandy beach to the “far dock” by rocky beach. Tag the swimmer, who will be standing on the far dock, to begin the next leg.
Leg 3: Swim from the “far dock” to the “green dock.” Tag the next person, who will be standing on the green dock.
Leg 4: Swim to sandy beach, run across the dam and cross the finish/start line at the bridge.
If there are more than 2 teams who sign up, teams 3 and (if necessary) 4 will do the course in reverse.
The team with the shortest time wins.
Prize: Bragging rights!
