A Weekend

of Wellness

June 22 & 23, 2024

A unique event that’s all about connecting with nature, our bodies and ourselves. The weekend is designed to promote spiritual, physical and emotional wellbeing through interactive activities from sound bath meditation and yoga to a workshop on plant remedies and an afternoon of forest bathing.

SATURDAY JUNE 22

10-11 a.m.: Registration

11 a.m.- Noon: Meditative Sound Bath. Let the sound of Himalayan singing bowls,  drums, gong, and other rhythm instruments, help guide you inwards to a peaceful place to start your day. Feel free to bring a chair, mat, blanket, pillow for your comfort. This session will be led by Dawn, a 3rd-level sound practitioner who has shared her practices across the tri-state area and remotely, internationally.

Noon - 1 p.m.: Lunch Break. Bring your lunch and enjoy the Club grounds, lake, hot tub and sauna

 1-3 p.m.: Interactive Activities Stations

  • Desire Practice: Get clear on what you want in life and why it matters. This activity will help you learn how to ask for what you want in your relationships, work and romance.

  • Facilitated Writing Session: Writing your story can be incredibly therapeutic as it helps you accept and bring meaning to your story

  • Bracelet Making: With a large assortment of colorful beads, create a bracelet that’s fun to wear, especially at the Club

  • Book Exchange: Bring some of your favs to discuss and swap

  • Healthy Environment: Get some tips for chemical-free living in our own environment

  • Food and Nutrition: Learn how to eat right to fuel wellness

  • Edible Herb Samples: Showcasing edible herbs of Black Elderberry, Aloe, Chamomile, Bee balm, Echinacea plants and more. Please make a donation if you wish to take one home.

3-5 p.m.: Forest Bathing: Starting with a short meditation, you will take a silent walk in the woods au natural, before a refreshing jump in the lake and then a warm up in the sauna.

5-5:30 p.m.: Healthy Hydration Station will be set up and ready to replenish you.

5:30-8 p.m.: Dinner Break. Bring your dinner. We have barbecue grills and a kitchen for food storage and usage. Relax at the lake, in the hot tub or sauna, or just hang out on the patio.

8 p.m.: Storytelling Under the Stars with S’mores: The ancient art of storytelling is a powerful way to connect with others, whether it’s to impart wisdom, evoke emotion or just to entertain. Whether you want to tell a story or just listen, we’ll be sitting around the campfire with S’mores. All are welcome to attend this activity.

SUNDAY JUNE 23

10-11 a.m.: Registration

11 a.m.- Noon: Yoga:  Start the day with Dawn with an invigorating yoga session outside surrounded by nature. All fitness levels are welcome. Bring a mat if you have one. Dawn is an experienced, certified 200 RYT yoga instructor. She has shared her practices across the tri-state area and remotely, internationally.

Noon- 1 p.m.: Healthy Lunch: A gourmet salad bar will be available for all participants. Non-participants can pay for lunch if reserved in advance.

 1- 2:30 p.m.: Plant Remedies Workshop: Ali Rohde, owner of Northern Sky Botanicals, will conduct a workshop on plant remedies, followed by an educational plant walk around the Club. Ali is an herbalist, forager, writer and permaculture designer in Sussex County, NJ.  She offers workshops and also maintains an herbal skincare company. She has been foraging and practicing herbal medicine more formally for just under a decade, studying at the Herbal Academy of New England and completing the Vitalist Herbal Practitioner program with Sajah Popham at the School of Evolutionary Herbalism. Ali’s approach to herbal medicine is to look at the whole person in order to find paths of healing. Her specialty is working with nourishing, abundant wild plants and empowering people to work with the herbs that grow right outside their doors. 

2:30-3 p.m.: Watermelon Wrap Up: A refreshing way to wind down from the weekend, share what we learned and say goodbye.

Costs

Register by June 15. Costs include the Daily Club Fees with a small additional fee for the Event , allowing participants to enjoy both the Club amenities and event activities.

After June 15, costs will increase $5 and availability cannot be guaranteed.

  • Visitors, Guests, Associate Members: $40 a day

  • Age 25 and under: $20 a day

  • First-Time Visitors: $25 for one day, $40 for second day

    (Please note first-time visitors must be approved prior to the event. Rock Lodge reserves the right to deny access to any visitor to protect the safety of all.)

  • Full Members: $25 for the weekend
